Wirtshaus Christoffel
Wirtshaus Christoffel is all about a journey into the distant past. In the 12th century built as a customs and guard house, the „Haus zur weißen Lilie“ in the 15th century became a „Biereigenhof“ and received the right to brew beer. Since then you get here, according to the people, one of the best beers in Erfurt and the surrounding area. A gastronomic experience of a special kind awaits you! The servants and maids are dressed in historical clothing and serve in medieval style. Medieval meals from old cookbooks and oral traditions from generation to generation are topped of with original Thuringian cuisine. Additionally on request, you can experience at the Wirtshaus Christoffel one of our medieval banquets, which are well-known about the ancient city walls of Erfurt. Here you can learn table manners and customs of the ancient almost forgotten times. By request the medieval banquet can be accompanied by a herald or minstrels, which then contribute to the entertainment throughout the evening. On the terrace you can enjoy robbers kebabs and other delicacies in a medieval street flair.
