Gin from & for Osnabrück
O49 is the first gin from the Osnabrück region. As a homage to our homeland, the initials are also the name of our product: O as in Osnabrück, 49 as in the postcode area of the former Hanseatic city. O49 has been around since 2014 and is now available not only as a gin - it can also be enjoyed as an egg liqueur, amaro and chocolate liqueur.
It is produced in a family distillery at the foothills of the Teutoburg Forest. Bottle by bottle, bottled by hand, a Pure Organic Gin is created with more than 130 years of experience from untreated juniper berries, enriched with the spicy, tart note of German hop blossom and unmistakably refined with the floral essences of Westphalian sage. It is a matter of honour that only ingredients from 100% controlled organic cultivation are used for this exceptional gin.
At 49% vol. it is noticeably more pithy than usual. But that suits the people here just fine. O49 tastes great neat with ice, classically with tonic or, for connoisseurs, with a leaf of fresh sage in the glass.
