    Opened in 1984, the garden is located in two former quarries at the Westerberg in Osnabrück.

    The first quarry is home to plant communities from all over the world while the second quarry is a nature reserve for native plants and animals. The rainforest house with a section of plants from the lowland rainforest of the Amazon basin is a special attraction.
