Venner Mühle village museum
Historical watermill - mill technology - village history

In the watermill built in 1725 on the Venner Mühlenbach stream, visitors can admire the milling technology of the past in its original location. Interesting information about milling, the different types of grain and their processing complement the presentation.

The interesting history of the village of Venne and its inhabitants can also be discovered in the lively exhibition. Numerous historical objects, models and audio presentations offer different approaches to the topics.

Historical buildings from the Venne area can be found in the museum's outdoor area, on the mill island. A forge, a bakehouse, a cottage, a bleaching hut and the lovingly tended farm garden give an impression of life in times gone by.

In the museum and in the outdoor area, you can also meet some very important inhabitants of the museum: the Venner Mühlenkatzen. If you want to listen to their exciting stories, you should have a smartphone with you.
