David Hansemann statue

The bronze David Hansemann statue was built in 1888 by Heinz Höffmeister.

Right at the start of the Monheimsallee, in the green Alleen park, you’ll find the bronze figure of the Aachen entrepreneur David Hansemann. He was the most important entrepreneur of his time. He founded several companies, including the “Aachen-Münchener Feuerversicherungsgesellschaft” insurance company (1824) and the “Aachener Verein zur Beförderung der Arbeitsamkeit” association for the promotion of industriousness (1834).
