The ‘Steinpilz (Boletus)’ hiking route can also be combined with other trails to create a circular route. Examples:
- Start in Mauth with the 'Tanne' (Fir tree) trail to Sagwassersäge, then follow the ‘Hauptwanderweg' (Main Hiking Path) through the Felswandergebiet (rocky hiking area) and along Steinbach into Reschbachtal. Take the 'Eisvogel' (Kingfisher) trail back to the outskirts of Mauth.
- Start at the National Park Centre Lusen, follow the 'Tanne' (Fir tree) trail through the Tier-Freigelände (Animal enclosure) to just before Waldhäuser, then switch to the 'Habicht' (Hawk) trail. At the next trail intersection, follow 'Laubbaum' (Deciduous tree) to return to the National Park Centre Lusen.
- From the National Park Centre Lusen, follow the 'Tanne' (Fir tree) trail to Sagwassersäge, and then return to the National Park Centre via the 'Arnika' (Arnica) trail. This option can also be extended via the 'Dachs' (Badger) trail. To do this, follow a section of 'Arnika' (Arnica) from Sagwassersäge and then switch to the 'Dachs' (Badger) trail, initially heading towards Blumental and back to the National Park Centre.
