Hiking route 'Linde' (Lime tree) (Bayerisch Eisenstein - National Park Centre Falkenstein)

Stages:
Bayerisch Eisenstein - Schwellhäusl - Deffernik – Nationalparkzentrum Falkenstein (National Park Centre)

Refreshment points at Schwellhäusl and at the ‘Haus zur Wildnis’ (Please check opening hours in advance).

Correct on the go – all the time:

• Beware of falling trees and deadwood! The use of the path is at your own risk. At strong wind please leave the forest for safety reasons!
• Path regulations in order to protect endangered plants and animals in certain areas of the national park
• Please do not leave any trash! Dog poop bags or handkerchiefs do not belong in nature either. Please help to keep our wild forest clean. Thank you!

Always ensure to have good equipment: card, sturdy shoes, something to drink, first aid kit, bad weather clothing

From Nationalparkzentrum Falkenstein (National Park Centre) back to Bayerisch Eisenstein, you can easily return using the train (Waldbahn) (see public transportation note)!

The 'Linde' (Lime tree) hiking route can also be combined with other trails to create a circular route!
Examples:

• Follow the 'Linde' (Lime tree) to Falkenstein National Park Centre, then take the 'Luchsfährte' (Lynx track) to Zwieslerwaldhaus, continue to Schwellhäusl, and finally return to Bayerisch Eisenstein.
• The 'Luchsfährte' (Lynx track) also leads from Nationalparkzentrum Falkenstein (National Park Centre) along the Großer Regen river back to Bayerisch Eisenstein.

Additionally, consider visiting Nationalparkzentrum Falkenstein (National Park Centre) with ‘Haus zur Wildnis’, Stone Age cave, and Animal enclosure.
