    Mountaintop Look-out Geotope

    The Großer Falkenstein offers  great view over the Bavarian Forest National Park.

    On the summit of Großer Falkenstein (1315 meters above sea level) with its glass-adorned summit cross, one can see towards Großer Arber and the mountain range of the Bavarian Forest in western and southwestern direction. Right at your feet is the valley basin of Zwieseler Winkels and just below the summit is the Falkenstein shelter, which is open almost all year long.
