Skulptur "Widukind"

The bronze sculptures of Charlemagne and Widukind, Duke of Saxony, symbolize the reconciliation of two arch-enemies. The reason for their installation was the 550th anniversary of the parish church of St. Martin. Charlemagne (2.27 meters tall) holds an orb and a sharp sword in his hands, while his adversary Widukind (2.20 meters tall) holds a Bible and a blunt sword. The figures symbolize the reconciliation of two arch-enemies.
