And although there is only one actor on stage, Vasili Zavrakis, 
the tavern atmosphere permeates the room, with all its peculiarities, which the hungry guests quickly learn to love and appreciate. Quite unlike Costa, who needs an ouzo after every guest, poor man.

And so it's no wonder that not everything runs as smoothly as Costa's wife would like in the tavern kitchen . If it weren't for the restaurant testers and the
Italian competition from across the street, it wouldn't be so bad. The host himself is also overcome with despair.

Vasilios Zavrakis doesn't just slip into the role of Costa in "Ouzo for One". He gives all
the protagonists their own voice, facial expressions and gestures and shows off his dexterity on
the bouzouki (Greek long-necked lute) and the guitar.
"I grew up in a Greek restaurant, so to speak. My parents had a
taverna in Hamburg. After studying acting and a few years on stage, writing 'Ouzo for One' was the logical next step," explains Zavrakis. "Where else could I combine my passions for music, acting and ouzo? I mean, Greek food
better together?"

Ouzo for One celebrated its premiere in Wangerland in 2024, played to a sold-out house in 2025 and is back on stage in Hooksiel this year due to popular demand.
