Although the Danube in Günzburg already makes a majestic appearance, gracefully taking its place in the landscape, occupying its spot and its palace, despite being strong and stately and determining its own course, it still offers a playful side. It has preserved a piece of its childhood, so to speak, saved from its upper reaches, where it remains small, young, and childlike. Here, in its nursery, it still bends around one curve after another and sometimes indulges in a little game of hide-and-seek, as only princesses are allowed to do. The cyclist traveling along its banks will only see it disappear behind the next bend, and it will only reappear after several good pedal strokes. Anyone riding here will notice how the playful, carefree attitude, the lightness, and the ease of the Danube have rubbed off on the surrounding area, reaching as far as Ichenhausen, Waldstetten, or Autenried. The region is a vast (nature) playground with ponds, lakes, and natural swimming pools, unique viewpoints, great playgrounds, and the LEGOLAND Germany amusement park. Royal pleasure!
