Denzel Chapel Emersacker

Kirchen
Extraordinary chapel by Wilhelm Huber, one of the Seven Chapels of the Denzel Foundation.

A wayside chapel near Emersacker - the "Blaue Kapelle Laugnatal" - is a work of architectural art from the Seven Chapels project of the Siegfried and Elfriede Denzel Foundation. The chapel stands on the cycle path from Welden to Emersacker. The twelve-metre-high wooden tower will blend into the forest like a large tree stump over the years. Visitors enter this chapel from the covered vestibule. Light enters the white interior solely through a skylight made of hand-blown blue glass. This blue symbolises the desire for connection with heaven and divine truth. The room offers a place of silence and meditation.
