For the finale of the 28th Euregio Music Festival, the Symphony Orchestra of the Institute of Music (IfM) at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences offers a program with infinite joie de vivre and confidence. Under the direction of Christopher Wasmuth, melodic lines alternate with exuberant and melancholic timbres.
The fascinating soloist Jakow Pavlenko - born in Berlin in 2003 - was trained from 2013 to 2022 by Prof. Ina Kertscher at the Institute for the Early Promotion of the Musically Gifted at the Hanover University of Music. Since 2022, he has been a student in Antje Weithaas' violin class at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin. He has successfully taken part in masterclasses with Viktor Tretyakov, Saschko Gawriloff, Ana Chumacenco and Julia Fischer and has performed with renowned musicians such as Mischa Maisky.
In the 2016 "Jugend musiziert" competition, Jakow Pavlenko immediately won first prize in the "Violin solo" category with the highest score, along with a special prize from the German Foundation for Musical Life. In his young career, Pavlenko has already performed with renowned orchestras such as the Göttingen Symphony Orchestra, the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, the Odessa Symphony Orchestra and the Hamburg Camerata. He has also performed at the Ludwigsburg Festival, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Hitzacker Music Week and the Rheingau Music Festival.
